PROJECT OVERVIEW
Runway Visual Range (RVR) Replacement – Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) are replacing the runway visual range (RVR) equipment at Melbourne Airport. The RVR equipment is crucial in assisting aircraft to land during periods of
low visibility. The current RVR equipment at Melbourne Airport is comprised of six sets of sensors which
have reached the end of its operating life. The RVR project involves a like for like replacement of the existing equipment.
In general the works will include:
- Upgrade and extension of existing access tracks.
- New concrete apron slabs, RVR footings, RVR masts, power, data and earthing conduits and an
asphalt strip between the two RVR masts at each siteSewerage Reticulation Works
