PROJECT OVERVIEW
Delta GSE, Melbourne Airport – this project was completed in March 2015 and involved the construction of a Ground Service Equipment area beside live taxiways at Melbourne Airport. The project involved the construction of asphalt and concrete pavements as well as footings for light towers, service pits and drainage works all within the busy airside workings of Melbourne Airport. Innovations introduced by Negri on this Project included stabilisation in situ to avoid the removal and replacement of existing subgrade and the re routing of electrical conduits to avoid the construction of additional pits. The stabilisation concept earned Negri Contractors an AustStab Award for Innovation or Excellence in Sustainability in Pavement Stabilisation (2014).
